It is often the little things in life that grossly improves one life, and not the big things that people think. The Internet is filled with tips on improving your life, some of these suggestions lean towards the western medicine, and some lead towards traditional Chinese medicine. The truth is, however, your life will not improve until you take control of it (it matters little the direction you choose to go once you put your hands on the wheel). Some people think happiness comes once they achieve some big lofty goal they have set for themselves, while other people know that it comes from the little things they do because it is the little things they do daily that determine the comfort in that day. For example, if every day you come home from work you spend 3 hours sitting in your chair at home to recharge, the difference in your quality of life could be determined by whether or not the rattan patio furniture you sit in for 3 hours every day is as comfortable as it could be.
Clearly, you may feel more accomplished once you make partner at your law firm, or become chief resident at your hospital, but your level of happiness will be determined more by the quality surrounding those little activities you do every day in life, like the type of rattan patio furniture you own, or the quality of coffee you drink in the morning, than by the work you perform.
When we are discussing comfort and happiness, work and profession are not major determining factors, it is the little things that make up those days that determine it instead. Otherwise, once a person attained their dream position they would always be happy and it would not matter what the condition of the rattan patio furniture was that person decided to sit in for 3 hours after returning home.
